BORAX (Sodium Tetraborate): A naturally occurring substance made by the repeated evaporation of seasonal lakes.
Some of the many uses:
- Laundry: Add 1/2 cup of Borax to each wash load along with the recommended amount of soap to help cleaning power and remove stains.
- All Purpose Cleaner: use a 1/2 cup of Borax dissolved in one gallon of hot water on sinks, counter tops, etc.
- Safety Warning: Just because its natural, it doesn’t mean it’s harmless. You should always use gloves when handling it and keep it out of reach of children and pets. While safe in the diluted solutions, borax could be harmful to kids and pets if ingested.
