Everyone knows what you put into your body is important, but what about what you put on it? Your skincare matters!
We are here to be transparent and honest about the key ingredients in our natural skincare as well as inform you on the benefits of them! 2021 is a fresh start, so there’s no better time to start taking skincare seriously.
Lavender Micellar Water
Our newest addition to the Food for Face skincare is Lavender Micellar Water. One of the key ingredients, second to water (of course) is Witch Hazel Water which reduces inflammation and irritation as well as fights acne.
Glycerin is also an important part of Micellar Water which helps the skin retain moisture and increase hydration. So, not only does our Micellar Water smell heavenly with the Lavender Flower oil but it also removes make-up gently.
We have two fantastic cleansers in the Food for Face family. The Clarifying Charcoal Wash’s most obvious ingredient is activated charcoal. Charcoal removes impurities and absorbs bacteria. Both the Clarifying Charcoal Wash and the Brightening Milk Wash have Organic Aloe Leaf Juice. This helps with acne and is full of antioxidants which can help deeply protect your skin.
If your skin is feeling dry and malnourished, the Brightening Milk Wash is the best choice because of its soothing rich milk. Milk helps repair the skin’s barriers, helps wrinkles/fine lines, and boosts moisture!
Detox face Scrub
Everyone needs a little detox! Our Detox Face Scrub is a phenomenal exfoliator because of its simple ingredients.
Baking soda, activated charcoal, and just a pinch of apricot seeds are all that makes up this face scrub. Baking soda has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, plus it tightens pores and gets rid of dead skin cells.
Vitamin C Toner
Vitamin C Toner is easily a must have when it comes to skin toners. It protects your skin from harmful free radicals that come from UV exposure. Also who doesn’t want to even their skin tone?? Vitamin C is responsible for reducing hyperpigmentation.
Our Face Oil Serum is a customer favorite. There’s no wonder why when you hear that nearly every ingredient is a natural oil! Cranberry, pomegranate, pumpkin seed, sunflower seed and mostly Grapeseed oil are found in our Face Oil Serum. Grapeseed Oil manages acne and fights against free radicals while maintaining resistance to wrinkles, AND it moisturizes.
Our Rose Serum contains Rose distillate (aka rose water) to soothe inflammation. Both our Face Oil Serum and Rose Serum have vitamin E which is a powerful antioxidant.
So far we’ve heard the great benefits of antioxidants, which brings us to our Antioxidant Face Cream. It includes some other common ingredients such as vitamin E and Organic Aloe Leaf Juice, but one of its key ingredients is Avocado Fruit Oil. This is where a ton of antioxidants are! They are fighting free radicals with every application.
Our Green Tea Face Cream is arguably our most popular. Organic Coconut Oil has to take the cake for the ingredient superstar. It is antibacterial and antifungal with with nourishing fatty acids that contains vitamin E, making skin smooth without an oily or greasy feeling
Spot Treatments come in all shapes and sizes and that includes different benefits, but there are some game-changing ingredients in all of them! Frankincense Essential Oil has Astringent properties to tone, lift, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles plus it’s anti-bacterial.
Each spot treatment also contains hibiscus extract which is Rich in Vitamin C and the anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties boost and stimulate your immune system.
The Tea Tree Acne Stick is a unique spot treatment because of the strength of the ingredient that gives it its name- tea tree oil. Tea Tree is a therapeutic essential oil that has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It's thought to calm redness, swelling, inflammation, and reduce acne scars.
We offer a handful of masks to choose from and they all have unique ingredients! First up is the Beet Powder in our Brightening Beet Dry mask. Beet is a source of Vitamin C which prevents skin pigmentation and it's a source of iron and protein.
Kaolin and Bentonite clay are important ingredients in both our dry masks. These ingredients are gentle and absorbent, removing impurities.
Our Purifying Charcoal Dry Mask has Organic Blue Green Algae Powder, which is highly nutritious, contains 8 essential amino acids and is high in protein, making it necessary and beneficial for cell repair.
Our wetter masks, Manuka Honey and Pumpkin Peel contain superfoods! The Pumpkin Peel Mask has pumpkin fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), which increase cell turnover. The zinc in pumpkin helps fight acne prone skin.
The Manuka Honey mask is healing and has antioxidant omega-3 acids, amino acids and its low pH make this an excellent choice for healing sensitive irritated skin.
